Interview with Michael Schofield – Favorite Drills and More (Video)
Thanks to CWPA and their Director of Membership Katie Wieber, we present you an “Inside Water Moment” interview with former U.S. Naval Academy Head Coach and CWPA Hall of Fame inductee Michael Schofield. In this video, he offers insights and secrets from his over 30 years of coaching experience.
Mike Schofield retired in 2013 after leading the Midshipmen to nine Collegiate Water Polo Association (CWPA)/Eastern Championships. During his 29-year tenure on the bench, the squad competed in 13 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Tournaments.
Schofield is also the school’s all-time winningest coach, compiling an astonishing 631 wins in 29 years in charge of the Navy water polo program. In 2011, he surpassed baseball’s Joe Duff, who had 595 career wins.
He is a USA Water Polo Hall of Fame inductee (2001).
