Re: Top 15 Teams - 2018

Anyone watch the SHP, Jesuit, Miramonte scrimmages yesterday? Jesuit was without their starting center, both center defenders, starting lefty, starting right side driver, and three playing (part of the rotation) drivers because seniors had to do Big Brother weekend thing at school. Normally, not ma...

Re: 2018 Season

UC Davis beats LBSU 8-7. A fun second half. Long Beach had a better 6 on 5 but Davis prevailed with two goals in the last two mins on counter-attacks.

Re: 2017 CIF SJS D1

I think that right now the best two teams in 2018 look to be Jesuit and St.Mary's but it is probably too premature to make any prognosis for next November. This year's Jesuit team is a case in point. The goalie started the season with less than six months of water polo experience under his belt. Yet...

Kyle Webster is a junior at Jesuit (cap #9). A great kid all around.

Also, Charlie Hurley (Jesuit goalie) got All CIF-SJS Honorable Mention, if I am not mistaken.

Re: Foreigners--Again . . . . .

More "Fake News" from Polo20polo. Enough with your "cheap shots" in your attempts to discredit. You can't even do the research let alone have a clue about the game of Water Polo. Your just another "Hack" poser. UOP has 8 Foreigners Cal-7 USC 7, Long Beach-7 UCI -5. I l...

Re: Foreigners--Again . . . . .

I looked at the top 10 college water polo programs and counted 39 foreigners (3.9 per team). The maximum number of foreign athletes belongs to UOP (7). What is the fuss with this 4 per team proposed restriction? It will not change much. It is just so convenient and cheap to blame somebody.

Re: Foreigners--Again . . . . .

All I can say that parents contribute both to the best and worst of the US water polo.
P.S. At the time of Cupido's heroics for NH the beloved team was not Newport, so Cupido example is still a good one.

Re: Why do we call it "USA Water Polo"

Before you scream xenophobia, go play Champions league Water Polo and see if you have a chance to get on the roster, or play professional basketball in Europe/Middle East. I am not sure you know what you are talking about. Look at the 16 basketball teams that take part in the most prestigious Europ...

Re: NCAA Championships Mens 2017

Davis will be a good progressive game for Pacific who has way too much firepower for the Aggies. They played 9 days ago and Pacific shut down their leading scorer, the 26 yo "Master's player" who was held scoreless yesterday in the WWPA championship match. Interesting that for U.S. kids, ...

Re: NCAA Championships Mens 2017

I agree that Pacific should be #4 seed but I am not even sure that they are disappointed about the seeding. The got a home NCAA game. They will get a big crowd, perhaps some extra revenue, and a very likely win (with all respect for a well coached and very decent Pomona team). UOP will play Davis is...
