Did I mention in any post "Locking down"? Closed- Borders.... Borders... Mr. OC Polo-- that is the "full story:"..... and you extrapolated your own narative -- schools are open, etc... Schools have been open all over Europe....... Ukraine ( limited Universities) Border closing i...

Everything will be ok on November 4th. Just take a deep breath and ride it out.

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?

If you are going to make accusations, prove your case... with corroborating evidence instead of painting the entire University with a history of "cheating" or violating NCCA and/or Federal or state statutes/laws. You do not know the rich history and success of SC across athletics, academi...

Re: Roster Sizes

Side note - there was a rumor that a few years ago UCLA, Cal and USC had a handshake agreement to self-impose a cap of about 30 athletes each to stop the insane rosters of the past. It seems that USC losing to UOP (2x), Pepperdine and SB last year has ended that. According to their 2021 rosters the...

Re: likelihood of 2020 fall HS season?

It’s a nice perspective you are trying to have there wpolo93, but the reality is that it is hard for parents to watch their kids be sidelined for no good reason whatsoever. Youth sports are being played all over this country and I have yet to see a news item about a bunch of people contracting COVI...

Re: 2020 Season Likelihood

Looks like UCSD will sit out the season even thought they are in the WWPA. From their website in connection with the Big West announcement today: This decision by Big West leadership will impact all UC San Diego intercollegiate athletic competitions, including those not competing as members of the B...

[quote="SkipShot101" Side note - during the entire spring while most other professions were being laid off or taking salary cuts, teachers either didn't have to work or did a fake 1 hour a day distance learning. But still got paid full salary. Anyway, I understand my stance won't be popula...

Re: Likelihood of winter season? (Transfers)

With the move of the HS season from Fall to the Winter, any thoughts on how this will impact the transfer situation. Would we expect to see more transfers or less? Would transfers still need to sit out the first part of season, or would they now be eligible at the start of the season if they enroll...

Re: likelihood of 2020 fall HS season?

Those of you in SoCal and SD need to remember that everywhere else in the state has been doing Boys and Girls Polo at the same time for years. It makes for some long hours but is very doable with some creative scheduling. Also, since major universities are now cancelling entire seasons we are fortu...

Re: likelihood of 2020 fall HS season?

Not sure about other schools, but don't NHHS, LBHS and SCHS all have coaches that do both girls and boys water polo? How is that going to work? And then trying to fit in pool time in some of these crappy pools is going to be difficult. Not good for development.

Re: CIFSS Playoff Divisions

Are the rules for practice different in San Diego County? I know my son can’t handle a ball with another player and they have basically been just doing conditioning in OC when they can get water time. However, I have seen recent videos of kids in SD passing and shooting together. If the rules are di...

Re: Stanford to cut 11 varsity programs in 2021 (not water polo)

One of the quotes I saw mentioned that Stanford had 12% of its student body as athletes and these cuts will bring them down to 9%, which they say is still a high number compared to other schools. Maybe there is pressure to reduce the athlete load to increase diversity at the university?
