Re: Tokyo vs Coronavirus

Perhaps I should have sauntered on over to the Men's and Women's College threads..but since we are already talking about COVID-19 I thought I'd drop this little nugget right here. Some private colleges are already telling their students not to return to campus after spring break (unless you're an a...

Re: 2020 Season

Though there's been no specific announcement that the season's being suspended, I'm sure there will be soon. The school's coronavirus FAQ site does address athletic eligibility questions here... https://dso.college.harvard.edu/coronavirusfaq So yeah, it's over. UPDATE: Harvard has removed the athle...

Re: 2020 Season

Are other schools starting to cancel trips for sports? How long until the games are cancelled altogether? Is it safe to be playing games, safe for the players. I bet we'll find out soon. Of the 11 teams scheduled to compete in the SDSU/Aztec Invitational this weekend, 7 of them are flying... Buckne...

Re: 2020 Season

Speaking of Harvard, it looks like their entire CA trip was cancelled and Pomona-Pitzer already removed their game vs them from the schedule on their athletic website. Whittier also marked the game as cancelled from their game schedule too ( https://gocrimson.com/sports/wwaterpolo/2019-20/schedule ...

Re: 2020 Season

I saw the UCI/Michigan game this weekend. UCI looked very good. Prentice had a great breakaway goal that really showed her speed. I didn’t notice Ayala in the water until 2nd half, but she scored two in a row (in only two possessions??) almost as soon as she went in. Klatt was still returning from A...

Re: 2019 NCAA Championships

As for Harvard's unbeaten season until the Bucknell game, it was a real accomplishment for Harvard. If I were Harvard's coach and athletics information director I'd be talking it up, too. But I bet both Ted and the players would have rather lost an early season game than the one to Bucknell. I don’...

Slim made some observations in the post below but I'm not sure there there was a consensus on a favorite.

Re: 2019 NCAA Championships

The point various people have been trying to hint is probably something like this. Many would like to see East Coast teams to challenge premier California programs- would be great for the sport in the long run. Sceptics like 2ply probably doubt whether it is achievable. I do not want to start the u...

Re: 2019 NCAA Championships

Harvard was "undefeated" this season but good grief...look at their schedule...I don't think they should have been in the mix for the tournament. You have to play top seeds at some point in the season. They never did. Further, some of the better (but not top) teams they played they BARELY...
