Your numbers aren't terribly off the mark. I'd go with that.

Re: Cal v USC Final

...I value your opinion on here a lot Doru, but I actually think this is a better rule in NCAA and NFHS, in that it encourages referees to call flagrant misconduct instead of just going with the misconduct. If the penalty is too large, it discourages the ref from calling it. I think that probably f...

Re: Cal v USC Final

I didn't watch the NCAAs this year, because the stream was unwatchable. But if it was anything like the MPSF tournament, then I understand the frustration. The ejections have gotten way out of control. We seem to have a problem with what exactly is cause for an ejection, and every ref calls it diff...

It's "ref" Rbpolo0414... How about swallowing your whistle, ref, and letting them play?

Re: 2016 NCAA Tournament

... I disagree with your assessment of Dunstan. He is not playing a scoring role for that team. He is a defender and playmaker. USC changes their starting lineup constantly and the only 2 constants are the Edwards brothers. I have seen him start. Now will Dunstan be an elite scorer at USC? That is ...

Re: UCLA at USC

If that is so, then this was a misapplication of the rules which probably changed the outcome of the game since it occurred early on. A misapplication of the rules is protestable up to and including 5 minutes after the end of the game. I'm surprised that Wright didn't say anything. Doru: I'm going ...

Re: UCLA at USC

When the NCAA decided not to adopt FINA's 4 minute exclusion for brutality, it actually validated the advantage of this kind of behavior. Under FINA rules, after the mandatory penalty shot a team could in theory score another 4 goals, for a total of 5 possible goals. Under NCAA rules, the maximum p...

Two things: - I will clarify my comments. - Smart-behind comments/editorial do nothing towards fostering civil and academic discussions. Haven't you learned anything from this year's election? Mr. Roll is correct in reproducing the text from the NCAA rule book. And as written, I understand the conc...

Re: Faking...

If Hooper received a yellow card in an NCAA game, the card was for a low level disrespect or misconduct, not for Simulation. There is no Simulation foul or warning in the NCAA rule book. Perhaps you should spend less time on the sidelines and more time learning about the game. Below is a point of e...

Doc, There are few people in this world who can say they contributed as much to the sport of water polo as you did; the difference is that you will never say it. We can never thank you enough for what you did for the sport, for WPP, and for some of us individually. There practically isn't a tourname...

I had the pleasure of meeting "Berci Bacsi" at NYAC in the early 1980s. He was a true gentleman and a true athlete. May he rest in peace.

There is, but only for a foul that occurs inside 5m.
