This is a 19U tournament. There are 10 teams entered. From what I can see there are 5 from California in it. So CA teams are venturing further out to play. There are also 19U girls playing at this tournament.

My guess would come down to AETOS and 680 depending on the players that play. AETOS should have most if not all their top players. 680 had a 5th place showing in the Utah tough tournament Feb 12/13, but travelling to back to back out of state tournaments, do not know who they would bring to the Texas tournament.

I am all for finding ways for the boys (and girls) to play polo, but SM isn't going to get much competition in this one. 680 has some good players, but my opinion is MD, SM and HB are top of class in Socal, with Newport, Foothill(hs), HW and Olu behind those first three. Based upon the Utah tournament last weekend, CCU, SHP and 680 are all strong NorCal club teams, but were a step or two behind MD and HB (MD beat 680 by 9 goals and CCU by 3 goals).

Wouldn't be surprised if this tournament gets cancelled anyway with all the weather and power issues in Texas.

If it's like the Utah tourney, then Norcal kids will be joining up with local TX teams. Many teams in Norcal area not allowed to practice are not able to get pool space yet. This is mainly on the peninsula, since clearly 680, CCU are able to field teams.

I do not think that will be the case but I could be wrong. I believe the idea was to have the best high school teams from Texas vs the California teams.

Unfortunately, you were right. The tournament was cancelled due to the weather.
