Class of 2024 Commits

Verbal commitments are already making their way to social media, so I'm rolling this out as we may see a few more throughout the summer and going into the Fall.

*New this go around* Around the time of Spring commitments, I was experiencing personal matters so I will include time stamps here for when updates have been made so everyone can keep track - these are fun to do but it's also about highlighting the athletes who are making a big decision so it's important to make sure no one is left out!

• The schools are listed alphabetically by School
• The schools are listed alphabetically with an exception for those that are commonly referred to with a different name (e.g. Cal, Navy & Pacific)
• Unless otherwise noted, high schools listed are in California

Congrats to these early commitments, but honestly I wish schools would encourage kids and their own coaches to wait until kids are done with their junior year, before announcing these things. In all sports. Not just WP. Actually I have seen kids 'commit' even younger than this in some sports. You have not even seen the kids final grades for their junior year. You don't know what classes they will be taking their senior year. And yes, I know they still need to go through the admission process, but this early announcements, puts a lot of pressure on everybody to 'announce" . I have even seen commitments to certain high schools. So we commit high schools now???

What goes on in Football is what really has me scratching my head, but I guess that's for a different thread thankfully

The pressure to post early is real - there is a definite "keeping up with the Jones'" vibe that goes into it.

Football isn't a good comparison - the timeline is really accelerated with the expectation of HS Seniors to finish HS early and enroll at their college for the Spring semester. By December of their HS Senior year - they're buying one-way plane tickets.
