Rules Primer for Parents and Spectators
Begins tomorrow March 1 on Water Polo Academy. This class is sponsored by Water Polo Planet and is offered FREE OF CHARGE. Class is taken online and comprised of lecture, discussion threads, video and diagrams. This is a 7 day course and students may take the course any time of the day or night. It is also ok to start the class 2-3 days late and "catch up" because this class carries no certification.

Rules Primer for Parents and Spectators
Then Click "Enroll in this course" You will be prompted to choose your own user name and password.
This course is designed to introduce the fundamentals of the rules of the game to an audience (mostly parents and other spectators) who have never played the game and to whom much of what goes on is so different from other traditional sports that is, at best, confusing, and often frustrating.
It is designed to be the lead-in to the second course in the series, Spectator's Advantage, which is dedicated to teaching the same group enough about Rule 7.3 (The Advantage Rule) that what seems mysterious now will become understandable.

It's not over yet... we are only in day two of six days of "instruction." There are twenty lessons, as of today, day two, two sets of four lessons have been posted. Four more will be posted on each of the next three days, along with threaded discussion topics designed to explore, in more depth, one or two topics within each lesson.
So far, three parents/spectators have been VERY active and some of their comments, observations, and questions have been spectacularly sophisticated and insightful. For me, it is already more fun than most of the referee classes I have taught because of the overall high level of intellectual curiosity displayed by these parents/spectators.
I hope, over the remaining three-four days, the parents/spectators who have not been active on the course Bulletin Board will come join in. It is only by this process will the maximal amount of information be shared.
