The Fosh

The Fosh, while not always 100% accurate, is a huge lifeline to water polo fans! But I find it difficult to use and thought we could start a thread on how to use it better. For example, how can you see all games for a specific team or stats for a single player? Trophy - If the trophy appears, you ca...

Re: 2021 Season

I haven't seen Naone on the LBSU the Fosh rosters yet, although he is listed as a Freshman on the LBSU roster and does appear there.

So much movement! Let's hope everything has settled down and the kids are feeling a sense of normality now.

Re: 2021 Season

Stanford removing a player from their 2017 roster is a disgusting move on their part. That's changing history and gaslighting us all. He was there, he played and did a great job. If you search the news page, they didn't erase him there. Who else have they removed? Makes you wonder. Several other sch...

Re: 2021 Season

Just a guess that Blyashov is using his extra Covid year in grad school if he is indeed on UCSB's roster. Rhodes clearly loves the game and is trying to find the program that's the best fit for him, even though he has made an impact on each team he has played for.

Re: 2021 Season

Cal, Stanford, UCLA, UCSB, UCI, SJSU, Davis all played 3 days of scrimmages in NorCal a week ago.

I did not see Alika Naone playing for CAL or UCLA that weekend, but he does appear on the LBSU NL roster. He looked great at CAL in their short season.

Re: Let Them Play Water Polo

Most...many...at least in the Bay Area. State and local guidelines have permitted some form of "practice" , which for us meant swimming one kid to a lane and drills that permit physical distancing. My understanding is that OC schools have been doing this too. I completely disagree with th...

Re: Let Them Play Water Polo

We went to Utah to play. I haven't heard about any cases for our team or others. The chlorine in the pool and in the air at the facility was a bit overwhelming for players and spectators. Nearly everyone in the stands wore masks (the one exception I can think of is the play-by-play guys doing the l...

Re: Let Them Play Water Polo

So did families/players contract covid after the Utah Eggbeater and TX 68 Sports tournaments or not? It's been stated here, that absolutely, yes they did. Yet in the article Mercury News article (https://www.mercurynews.com/2021/02/17/coronavirus-olympic-water-polo-stars-lobby-california-to-get-kids...

Re: North Texas Winter Invite 2021 - Feb 20/21 2021 - Lewisville, TX

If it's like the Utah tourney, then Norcal kids will be joining up with local TX teams. Many teams in Norcal area not allowed to practice are not able to get pool space yet. This is mainly on the peninsula, since clearly 680, CCU are able to field teams.

Re: Winter Season 2021

Some announcing they now won't compete, others are announcing they new will compete. Meanwhile, club teams all over California are in the water doing, at a minimum, distancing practices. College coaches can't get their athletics dept and universities behind these boys, but the local high school club...

Re: Winter Season 2021

NCAA Water Polo's account now says SJSU Men's WP is cleared to compete... even though they announced recently they would not and I believe they are not in the water yet. https://www.instagram.com/p/CKw2172BvJR/ The teams that are playing, the Freshmen are looking great. But these schools not playing...
