I think the open rankings make sense and will probably not change. Los Al is 0-1 with Orange Lutheran so I don't see a close loss moving them ahead. Correct. Newport starts 5 seniors and has a senior class of 11. They start 2 juniors and play a couple underclassmen off the bench. This is their year. They will be always be a strong D1 program but they will not be the favorites next year.

These are rankings, not seedings. In the event there is a tie in the final coaches poll, CIF would make the call on who goes where. I would imagine this final tournament play will break most if not all the ties in the final poll. League placement will also help in the final week.
