Re: 18u Boys Breakdown

So Atherton beat Stanford by 1 this weekend at Futures — looks like the rosters this weekend were very even. Does anyone know if this is the plan for these teams at JOs as well?

Re: Forced Club Participation at a Public High School?

There is nothing illegal about a coach telling players that he/she wants them to do club polo with their particular program. However, I would say that it is definitely against the spirit of high school athletics to tell someone they can’t be on their public HS team if they don’t play off-season wate...

Re: Most Shocking Transfers

Jeff, as always fantastic review. My only point of disagreement is that the “Diamond in the rough” is not out there like in the past. My opinion is that these players are definitely still out there but if they don’t do ODP or play JOs for a large club, it is increasingly harder to get noticed. Also,...

Re: Open/D1 predictions

I was able to watch Miramonte a lot in person this year and they were a well oiled machine loaded with juniors and seniors. While I’ve only watched Foothill and OLu on stream, I just think Miramonte would win by 4-5 goals against either team. Either way, all 3 of these teams had amazing seasons and ...

Thanks, I kept checking the 2023 link — this league is doing things right in so many ways it’s very exciting for the sport to have standings and results that can be followed!

Re: Futures League

Does anyone have results sheets for the Futures League for NorCal and SoCal? It’s awesome they are live streaming and doing most all games on the 6/8 game desk but it sure would be nice to find all the results somewhere as well. Can we get standings and scoring leaders as well? I know its a lot to a...

Re: 2023 Women's College Draft

Team 5 5. Ryan Neushul — attacker — Stanford: Looking like Ryann will become the third Neushul to make an Olympic team in 2024. Just a super smart player who knows how to make big time shots. 8. Ava Johnson — Center — UCLA: definitely another possible 2024 Olympian and will be a force for UCLA this ...

17. Jenna Flynn — attacker — Stanford: I’m gonna predict at least 75 goals for Flynn in her first season. Just a prolific scorer from all over the place.

Re: 2022 NCAA Tournament

Agree, hope the NCAA stream is the same quality — UOP looked dominant as well running the hard zone. If they can shut down the middle against Cal and get some blocks, I could see an upset in the making. UCLA probably gets it done over USC in a close one. I’ll go with UCLA over UOP in the final in my...
