Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
I would find it extremely difficult to believe USC is paying for Jovan's legal fees. Especially since his defense was that the was doing exactly what the school was requesting. USC's response in the case was, "our admissions policy is not what is on trial". I imagine the NCAA needs to det...

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
but I could see Krikorian taking over the program after the next Olympics. Go on - You obviously know Adam so well... Covid and the Olympic deferment has created an interesting scenario where the coach has been convicted of cheating, and some of his players are still playing the game at the same sc...

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
Pinta is replaceable. Plenty of quality names out there that can keep SC winning championships if he can’t. The head coaching position at USC is still one of the premier coaching jobs in the sport. As far as sanctions. Why would the NCAA need to wait until the results of Jovan’s trial to investigat...

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
Rb, It is not about inflating stats, actually. The transformation of STEM fields at USC has been significant, in terms of attracting/ retaining high quality faculty, talented postdocs and grad students. I know what I am talking about.. I assume the same thing happened say in Medicine etc. Again, ha...

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
Maybe pass those talking points on to Pinta Whatever... Again, like it or not, USC has become significantly more selective/ desirable academically in the last 30 years. The acceptance rate was about 50% in 1990s, if I am not mistaken. It improved to 20% about 15 years ago, and further improved to 1...

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
Can’t win championships if you can’t recruit. This will be the last year USC will sniff a final for a while. Enjoy it! Maybe. On the other hand, USC has become significantly more selective as an undergraduate institution in the last 30 years or so. It is a good school academically with excellent at...

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
Pinta ain’t falling and SC gets no sanctions. Sorry Cal/Bruin/Card vs SC haters. Doubt JV gets off on appeal but may get some sentence reduction (long shot), but this all over now. What are all the haters going to focus on when SC wins more Championships years after JV is gone??? Can’t win champion...

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
The only way JV sues USC is if he were acquitted. He might have had a wrongful termination case. Not with a guilty verdict. And obviously money alone doesn’t get you into USC. They needed the coach to go to bat for their kids. Normally I’d agree, but this is JV we are talking about. I put nothing p...

Re: Where in the World is Jovan?
Yea, even my dog knew he was guilty. Which one? I misspoke...actually, both of them knew. Also, I hope that Vavic appeals this guilty decision by the jury. Nothing gives me greater pleasure than watching rich guilty defendants give more of their hard-earned cash to attorney's. He’s not paying. USC ...

J-Serra..(1St place) favorite HS coach by a long shot...will win CIF-SS Div-1 Championship in 2022. HW, still in the mix for now (2nd place?). Mater Dei will no longer be "in the equation'...unless things change....which I doubt will happen. (Third place). Newport?...Ross needs to coach somewh...

Re: Predictions for 2022
Gross is a big get for Fordham. Big reason Davis was in the Final Four. Princeton is still "deeper" than Fordham even with the acquisition of Nir...imo. However I'm ecstatic that Fordham will take second to Princeton, therefore, preventing Harvard from entering into the equation. If there...
