NCAA decision on spring season dates
NCAA decision on spring season dates
Ok so what happens to the girls’s season now when the university shares the same coach as the boy’s team?
Re: NCAA decision on spring season dates
Assistant coaches will have to assume a larger role.
Re: NCAA decision on spring season dates
So the women and men’s seasons will run simultaneously?

As a fan, I don't think is is a bad thing at all, I like the idea of going to a double header, more fans/family in the stands, what could be a better way to spend an afternoon or evening

That’s the thinking at this time.

The boys and girls play different teams though. It isn’t high school.

Re: NCAA decision on spring season dates
From a fan's perspective, this should be fine. From the coaches/admin side, perhaps a little trickier to schedule (games, practices, etc.), but considering most athletic depts are (relatively) dormant at the moment, the chaos is required in order to make up for lost time. I really feel for the parents who have both M/F athletes at different schools...that is a tough situation, perhaps not as common though.
TBH the format isn't perfect, but it is better than scrapping one of the seasons entirely like the women (practically) did last year. Let's avoid doing that again at all costs.

I hope fans are going to be allowed. Maybe limited capacity or just a few "invited" fans? I guess we don't know right now.

Re: NCAA decision on spring season dates
Let me think, Stanford,Cal,USC, UCLA, UOP, UCI, UCSD, UCSB, Davis, etc...have both, surely someone with half a brain could come up with a few double headers or even, god forbid, a tournament featuring both during this weird makeshift season. Who wouldn’t go to a USC UCLA or Stanford Cal or UCI UCSB double header
On the fan attendance question, I’m an optimist

This is a little off topic, but does anyone know if the collegiate national team players will be allowed to participate in the college season? Or do they have to train with the national team? It looks like Hallock has moved on, but Daube is listed on the USC roster.
