For the Sept. 29 poll...correction #20 Air Force...probably not a big deal to the top dogs but they just made themselves relevant by defeating UCSD 15-13...Give it up for the boys in blue!

Not to fuss about the polls since the only one that really matters is the one at the season's end after the conference and NCAA championships. But I'm puzzled about how USC dropped to #3 a few weeks after a close 1 goal loss (first and only loss of year) to California and has remained in #3 since then despite beating #2 California, #4 Stanford twice, #5 Long Beach State, #6 Pacific, #8 UC Davis twice, #9 San Jose State, and #10 Pepperdine by a combined 131-80 goals. Remaining games against #7 UC Santa Barbara and #1 UCLA. I see these upcoming games as "pre-season" for when the real action starts in MPSF and NCAA. But seedings are important. Bottom line: just win when it counts.

Probably just the timing of the loss. If either the 1 or 2 seed loses I'm sure USC will move up.

I would use the descriptive "insufferable".

Pretty simple. Neither of the teams above them has lost since moving into the #1 and #2 spots. Yes USC beat Cal, but in the most recent game (and the MPSF game) Cal beat USC. USC gets to play UCLA and move to #2 if they do.

Cal cancels game with LB because of Covid concerns. I thought Alameda County had strict Covid protocols. How can this be?

Rumor is 6 or more people including coaches. Do they forfeit the LB game? Is it the Spanish variant?
