My guess is that there continues to be a bottleneck approving new users. The newest member, shown at the bottom of the forum index page, was from mid July. . . .

Yes, first UIL season was very good. There were some strong teams and then some that are relatively new but it's exciting. If I had to guess I could see some realignments because some districts were very strong while others not as much - example a #1 ranking losing to a #4 and it not being a close game.

Texas, like Florida, has always stumped me as to why there are not more Club teams. Big State's, warm, lots of pools, lots of swimmers. Hopefully the inaugural State Championship will have created some press to create some curiosity; "maybe I should look into this sport"

I hope so. Some clubs for sure have grown in size recently. I think some of it is just the commitment to travel, not all clubs wanted to travel to Northern CA last year for JOs and make the trips to CA for tournaments. I think more clubs will try to head to JOs this year in Southern CA. I think you do see some Texas clubs competing and holding their own.
