Brazil had nothing going on offense, but Serbia committed an insane penalty foul at the end of the shot clock with about 45 seconds left. Brazil made the penalty and killed the remaining time off for the win.

You mean Soro? He was Serbia’s goalie 4 years ago in the Olympics; but they told him he was too old to play. So Rudic recruited him to Brazil, where they gave him citizenship. The rest is history. Do you think that he was just a little bit motivated against his former teammates? Wow, what a performance! The former Croatian center Virlic did a great job for Brazil too; along with Perrone and Baches. I don’t know if it has anything to do with “home team” advantage; but they are playing great water polo.

The Rudic magic is still around! I didn’t think that he could do it. I was not only wrong about Brazil, but apparently I and everyone else was wrong about Serbia winning it all. That group is really a mess. Who would have figured that Serbia would only have 3 points after 3 games. Anything can still happen; but Serbia will really have to battle to get into the gold medal game. If they lose to Australia, they might not make the quarterfinals. Amazing!
