In memoriam a water polo legend

With great sadness must mention the news that Bertalan Fodor, former swimmer, a water polo legend of Tirgu Mures, and member of the New York Athletic Club, has passed away in his home town at the age of 94.

A quick blog written just now about his career and his passing is below - some of us had the opportunity to meet him and listen to his many stories spanning countless decades of water polo. To his very last days, he was a superbly charming presence in my home town's cafes, where he was known as an impeccable gentleman.
