Pay - $26.70/HR or $30.33 w/EMT
Training - 180 hour paid academy @ $15/HR
Min requirements - Class C California Drivers License and High School Diploma or equivalent. Must be 18 years old on the first day of the academy.
This is a fire department level job complete with full background check and medical. While the job has been considered seasonal, the position does offer health benefits for those who work enough days each year. After a few years of work employees can promote into full time positions.
For water polo players this is the perfect gig. Unless you take a schedule your work hours are flexible, have the ability to move up in organization, or use it as the best second job ever. Over the past few years we have had more and more older water polo players taking our test (30-40 years old).
