Anybody got any info on the Coastal Zone, per the last update on the Coastal Zone Website:

June 19-20 – JOQ Younger (10u – 14u) seeding games – TBA LA/Commerce area
June 26-27 – JOQ Older (16u – 18u) seeding games – TBA Ventura/Oxnard area

But on the LB Shores, LA Premier, Pride, Commerce no mention of the Quals?

Our coach mentioned it will most likely be next week and he was waiting on the schedule. I heard the 14U and under will not have a normal quals. top 7 from 2 years ago (12U) get auto seed, the rest fight it out in elimination games.

what happened to North Irvine in the Girls 18U and 16U for the JO Quals. I don't see them on schedule and they have lots of talent

North Irvine is also not entered in the 18U boys. Strange, the players must be playing on other clubs if NI is not entering teams.

The OLU coach resigned and disbanded the club team.

For the Coastal Zone it appears they gave automatic spots to a certain number of teams and the lower seeds will battle it out for the remaining spots.

So please correct me if I'm wrong, but it looks like CCA is using results from 2019 JOs. They are using the results for the age group that the teams where in 2019, so for the 16s this year they are using results for the 14s in 2019, and for the 18s they are using the results they had at 16s in 2019. Basically any team that qualified for the championship then, qualifies for the championship this year (assuming they are participating, because it seems the 16s have 1 team less in championship than they did in 2019. All other teams are the ones that have to play for the remaining spots in championship and the ones in classic. Is this right?

I just noticed that USAWP quietly added a classic division on the Boys side only, for the 14U, 16U and 18U Boys.

Not sure how fair the girls side will feel this is. Granted, I don't have the numbers in front of me, so yes there probably are more boys teams than there are girls, in most divisions, but if I recall from past years, in the 18U divisions, the amount of Boys and Girls teams trying to qualify, at least in the Sopac area, are very close to the same amount.

Except the boys 18U will have 18 teams going to Jos and the Girls 18U will only have 11 allocations.
