I think that Laguna is the #1 seed. I assume that Dos Pueblos are not entered because of their players that will be participating in National events that weekend.

What is the basis for the seeding? There are some expected seeds, but also some unexpected ones. It doesn't seem to be based on last year's CIF results, since OLU is not #1 and Foothill is way down the list.
It almost seems more geared towards pool locations, like HB is E1 and those games are in HB.

Maybe the seeding is based on the most recent results? Laguna beat OLu at Villa Park, and Olu beat MD at Santa Barbara.

I was surprised that Foothill was so far down, but they didn't participate at Villa Park or Santa Barbara.

Next weekend the US Youth National Team is playing in the US open at Woollett and the US Cadet National team is playing in Canada at the Pan Ams, so some players will likely be missing from the top teams.

I am looking at some of the 1st/2nd round games to day in bracket play. Should be some potentially good games:

- Huntington Beach vs Long Beach Wilson
- Los Alamitos vs Riverside Poly
- Carlsbad vs Santa Margarita
- San Ramon Valley vs Royal
- Davis vs ML King

I watched the Carlsbad vs Santa Margarita - What terrible officiating. Totally biased officiating in my opinion. The ejections were 17-3 in favor of Carlsbad and the game ended 9 to 9 and Carlsbad won in a shootout (SM were missing half their starters at this point. Lucky they could field a team). The officials totally took this game out of the coaches hands. Sad to see this happen.

I saw that along with Laguna barely getting by La Jolla. We're a lot of their players missing and playing in the US Open instead? Have to figure that is why Dos Pueblos Did not enter the tournament.

Between the US Open and the US Cadet team playing in Canada, Foothill, El Toro, Laguna, San Marcos and Mater Dei are all missing players. While DP isn't participating, most of their better players are also in Canada or at Woollett.

I still can't understand why USAWP would schedule their tournament the same weekend as the California HS State Champs.

SB 805 has a team at the US Open, maybe that's where a lot of those Dos Pueblos girls (and the coach) are this weekend?

Just another case of USAWP's poor planning. No wonder why our sport does not get the traction that it should.

Well, at least 4 of the 5 of the listed "Staff" are DP girls' parents. Five full personnel to fill out the staff? I guess at least that's a benefit of going to DP and being part of the inner circle, you get to not pay gate fees.
