- CIF SS Div 2 - 7 teams
- CIF SS Div 3 - 8 teams
- CIF SS Div 4 - 1 team
- CIF SD - 3 teams

If Bishops really wants to make a statement and be considered among the elite teams of Southern California, they need to tie those caps on tight and go in there and take care of business and win this tournament. Otherwise, nice try and see you next year.

Some thoughts on the VP Tournament.

- The top 4 seeds - Los Alamitos, Bishops, San Marocs, Santa Margarita should have no problems in day 1. All the winning teams will play 2 games in Day 1 (Thur, 12/9)
On Day 1 (Thur 12/9), I would predict that all the top seeds in all 8 brackets will win their brackets
- A - Los Alamitos
- B - San Marcos
- C - The Bishops
- D - Santa Margarita-
- E - LB Wilson
- F - Santa Barbara
- G - Agoura
- H - ML King

On Day 2 (Friday, 12/10) you will have the start of cross bracket play, so in the winners brackets you will have for these teams only 1 game on Friday:
- A vs H (Los Alamitos vs ML King)
- B vs G (San Marcos vs Agoura)
- C vs F (The Bishops vs Santa Barbara)
- D vs E (Santa Margarita vs LB Wilson)

On Day 3 (Saturday, 12/11)
- the winner of the A vs H game will play the winner of the C vs F game in one semi-final
- The winner of the B vs G game will play the winner of the D vs E game in the other semi-final

I think that all of the favorites will easily make it to the semis. I think that Santa Margarita will beat San Marcos on the one side. I have Bishop’s as being the favorite to win this tournament, but judging by a couple of their early losses this year, I may be wrong. Assuming that they both get there, the semi between Los Alamitos and Bishop’s should be a great game.

They'll still be the best team in SD next year (and the year after) but this is the best team they'll have for a while.

I was surprised to see their losses to MD and OLU last week. They were short a starter on Saturday, but it feels like they're underperforming.

The LB Wilson 12 vs SM 11 score surprises me. Good for them!!! I'd love to hear a recap of the game particularly if anyone was missing for either team.

Congratulation to Bishop's for taking 1st in the tournament with a 19-18 victory over San Marcos.

Looks like Los Alamitos beat Wilson for 3rd.

19-18 3OT. It was a really fun game to watch. Punch - Counter Punch for the entire game. The chess game between the two coaches was fantastic.
