Does anyone know who won qualifiers for 2022 Champions Cup in Chicago? Boys and/or Girls.

This can be a great trip for both parents and kids. Kids get to play in a tournmanent, in general direction of the east coas, where some may have never been, and parents hopefully will make time to explore the great restaurants that Chicago offers. Along, of course, with the cold winds coming down lake Michagan, where they will get to experience what the season 'Fall' is supposed to be like

Don't be silly, we all know the winds associated with fall are the Santa Anas!

Agree, it's great for kids to get to the other coast, the Midwest, and the South to experience other parts of the country. . . .

Breathing some life back into this thread...

Does anyone have links to the schedules/scores for the qualifier games in the various zones that should be taking place over the next couple of weekends?

Would be nice to get a sense of who is attempting to qualify for this year's Champions Cup on both the boys' and girls' sides.

Here's the San Diego qualifier, which is on Sunday the 24th:

The Champions Cup qualifier games are highlighted in blue (boys) or yellow (girls). On the boys side the competitors are Del Mar, Shores, Odin and ECA; on the girls it's Shores, Del Mar and Odin.

So the USA WP Champions Cup site says 12 zones each get 1 allocation.
But the Conduct of Championships pdf says 11 zones each get 1 plus a team selected by USA WP. [There are in fact 12 zones].
Conduct of Championships also says that if zones don't fill their allocations, then leftover spots get allocated based on zone membership.

But here's the question - how do those leftover spots get allocated by the Zones? The document doesn't say. Presumably by the zone qualification order but then again . . .

One would hope it would go to the second place team in the highest registration/membership zone and then the second place team in the second-highest registration zone… and so on and so forth.

It looks like the majority of the California zones sent 2 teams last year on both the boys’ and girls’ sides, presumably due to a lack of participation in a handful of the other zones.

Well so much for 1 team each Zone...
Last year for the boys was
2 San Diego Zone
0 SOPAC
2 Coastal
2 Bay Area
1 Central Valley
2 Chicago Area
1 Texas
1 Hawaii
And Greenwich

I'm sure it will end up same this year or close to it...not many non CA teams (Greenwich excepted) want to travel to the middle of the country to get boatraced.

From a platinum team perspective...Yee Haw! Let's spend 2 grand go to Indiana for a weekend to play teams we just likely just played at Evan Cousineau in October, and will play again at Kap 7 in February, and again once or twice in Futures league and possibly in Super Finals...and again in JOs...

But on the bright side, one weekend a year as a "mainstream sport" parent is enough to convince anyone in CA we are lucky our kids play polo!

Here's what I see so far:

CCA Boys:
1. Channel Islands
2. SB 805
3. Rose Bowl

CCA Girls:
1. SB 805A
2. 908
3. Rose Bowl

PSW Boys:
1. Del Mar
2. Shores
3. ECA
4. Odin

PSW Girls:
1. Del Mar
2. Odin
3. Shores

Haven't seen links to any of the other zones. Each zone is only guaranteed one allocation, but if history is any indicator, most of the California zones will get a second team in on both the boys' and girls' sides.

Heard today that SOPAC quals for Champions Cup was Mission and SOCAL on the Boys side. SOCAL on the girls side.

Allocations updated on the USAWP site and yep...
It's the big 4 zones from CA with 2 each, Greenwich, Oahu, and 2 Chicago/Midwest Teams on the boys side.

7 of the top 10 from EC Cup 14u platinum flying halfway across the country to play again...

Let's GOOOOOOOOO!
