I have attempted to show what Div 1 Girl teams are in the top Socal tournaments in 2021-22

Attached is my PDF. Should note a few teams I could not find any schedule (CIF SS/Team websites), so is incomplete. What I do show is what teams had posted on the CIF SS/Team websites for these tournaments, even though a few look incomplete.

Bishop’s is the only top team in SD this year. Seriously. They may be the best in CA.

Cathedral will be lucky to be in top 10 in SD.

Cathedral lost to Clairemont yesterday in Draz Classic.
Bishops beat Carlsbad by 10, missing two starters (both Youth National).

Updated with the Elite 8 team tournament on 01/21-22. Also updated some other teams. Some teams are now playing 4 tournaments.

Santa Margarita 22 Carlsbad 8 - It continues to look like the SD CIF is going to be down again in the 2021-22. Carlsbad finished 2nd in the Open Division in 2021 for the CIF SD section behind Bishops. SM played both goalies and their entire bench in this win (they were missing one of their starters)

Mater Dei 17 Murrieta Valley 0.

It continues to look like the SD CIF is going to be down again in the 2021-22. Carlsbad finished 2nd in the Open Division in 2021 for the CIF SD section behind Bishops.

Agree. San Diego is down with the exception of Bishop’s. They are a legitimate team. It will be interesting to see how they do in the Elite 8 Tournament some of the top OC teams. Too bad that Orange Lutheran is not playing in it.

I agree with your top 8 being the best teams in CIF-SS this year. I would be surprised to see CDM, Santa Barbara, HW, LB Wilson or any other teams challenge for the Open Division Championship.

From what I have seen the last few years, it seems as though you have most of the usual suspects. San Clemente was been pretty competitive in the past so maybe they can be added to your list. Maybe Agoura and Huntington Beach too?
